Wind load · freeze–thaw · fixing
Commercial facades
Ventilated facade panels, rainscreen cladding and solid wall stone. Anchoring detail and panel weight are confirmed with the facade engineer before the stone is cut.
—Applications
Material choice follows traffic, moisture, fixing method and maintenance. These six conditions cover most of the export work we quote.
Wind load · freeze–thaw · fixing
Ventilated facade panels, rainscreen cladding and solid wall stone. Anchoring detail and panel weight are confirmed with the facade engineer before the stone is cut.
Abrasion · slip · vehicle load
Flamed and bush-hammered setts, slabs and kerbs for pedestrian zones and light vehicle traffic. Joint width and laying pattern are quoted with the stone.
Consistent veining · sealing
Floor tiles, wall panels and book-matched slabs. Slabs are selected from one block run so vein direction and background tone stay consistent.
Moisture · drainage · hygiene
Vanity tops, shower trays, wall linings and thresholds cut to millimetre tolerances, with edge profiles and falls agreed on the shop drawing.
Weathering · lettering · stability
Dense, low-absorption granite for headstones, bases and plaques. Lettering, shapes and fixings are produced from the approved layout.
Seasonal movement · edge wear
Steps, walling, setts and garden features in sandstone, limestone and granite. Frost resistance and slip class are stated per grade.
